Design Choices:
For this project, I made it my person mission to design this character without any references other than the original design. Lyra's supposed to be a hunter, but the design of her beast form gave a brutish and honestly, clumsy design. With this design, I went for a flatter body look, to give her the look of a pouncer, lunger, and something that can move as fluidly as it could fast. Keeping the tentacle arm idea, but doubling it, and giving it even more nasty surprises besides going from Massive claws to a cluster of tentacles. Like having each tendril lined with neurotoxic pincers that slowly pull the prey into hidden maws at the base of the body. As well as a large reared nose, armoured throat, raptor feet (which i kept from the original design), and a large boney spine.
